
Head Coach: Dan Taylor-McNally has over 14 years of teaching
experience. He started fencing in Seattle. WA by taking classes at a
local boys and girls club. At 16 he was the Under-17 Western Washington
Champion, and by 18 was the Under-20 Champion. He was also the Inland
Empire Division Champion and has fenced nationally.
Coach: Rob Del Galzo has coached up in Northampton Fencing Club
for about a year. He is the coach of the George Washington fencing team and
is a National level Referee for the USFA. Rob started with Dan at
Waynewood in 2006.
Coach: Mike Salomon has been fencing and teaching at Fairfax
fencing for five years. Mike started teaching with Dan at the
Chinn Center in early in 2007.
Instructor: Lauren Patnode started fencing in 2004, and started
teaching in 2006 with Dan.
Instructor: Mychal Capazzi started at the Dark Horse Fencing Club in
Fredericksburg. In 2005 Mychal began training with Dan at Fredericksburg. In
2006 Mychal started teaching with Dan in Fredericksburg.
Instructor: Kurt Hoffman started in fencing in 2003. In 2005 he began
training with Dan at South Lake. In 2007 started teaching with
Dan at South Lake.
Instructor: Timothy Robinson began fencing in 2003 at the Dale City Rec
Center and in 2005 began teaching as an assistant coach with Have Blade
Fencing. He joined the USFA in 2005 and has competed at several
tournaments, including the Junior Olympic Qualifying tournament in Richmond,
Virginia. In addition to fencing, Timothy is a competitive tennis player as well
as an accomplished violinist.

Mike and Rob don't particularly like to pose for photos, but they love to fence!
Instructor: Ethan Robertson has
been interested in fencing since
the age of 5 when he lived in
Australia. He started training in his
eighth grade year in 2003. He
began competing on the DHFC
high school team a few short
weeks after joining and went on in
his first competition to win third
place in the First VA division high
school team event. He began
sabre in the summer of 2006 and
was and still is coached by Coach
Ron Thornton, Coach George
Havrilak, and Coach Bruce
Callander. One of his most recent
accomplishments is being placed
on both the sabre and epee teams
at the DHFC.
